Vale. Aquí us deixo el segon membre dels Mighty Mates. Us presento a:

Ok. Here I leave the second member of the Mighty Mates. Let me introduce you:

Danny Dávila era una persona tranquil.la.

Durant tota la seva infància havia hagut d'aguantar burles i el que ara coneixem com a bulling. Tot i això, era una bona persona i mai havia tingut la necessitat de venjança i ni tan sols això l'havia fet canviar la seva tranquil.litat habitual. Sang d'orxata, li deien...

Però a mida que creixia, anava acumulant decepcions: la gent li passava per sobre; les velles se li colaven a la cua del súper; homes peluts l'empentaven al bus; mares deixaven els seus enormes SUVs al mig mentre recollien els nens de l'escola; homes vells aparcaven el cotxe allà on els hi anava bé; d'altres joves escoltaven horrible 'música' a tot volum desde els seus mòbils pel carrer...

Finalment, un dia la sang d'en Danny va començar a bullir:

¡¡¡GILIPOLLEEEES!!! 

Ja no podia aguantar més. Alguna cosa s'havia trencat al seu cap (i al seu ADN, ja que l'incident va fer sortir els seus poders latents). Va vestir-se amb el xandall més lleig que tenia, es va enmascarar amb un vell passamontanyes, va agafar un parell de barres d'acer... i va començar a castigar a la gent incívica sota el nom de Douchebagger (qui patrulla els carrers posant els gilipolles a puesto). definició d' Urban Dictionary

Després de l'incident succeït al poble amb en Jack O'Murder, va unir-se a d'altres joves herois i així van néixer els Mighty Mates (veure també Braindead).

La seva rel.lació amb Braindead es prou bona: en Danny creu que ella és una psicótica, i ella creu que ell es gilipolles... Així que tot bé.

Danny Dávila was a calm person.

Throughout his childhood, he had to bear taunted and what we now know as bullling. Despite this, he was a good person and had never had the need for revenge and not even that had made him change his habitual quietness. Blood of Horchata, they call him...
But as he grew up, he was accumulating disappointments: people passed him over; old ladies are hit in the supermarket queue ; hairy men push him in the bus; mothers left their huge SUVs in the middle as they gathered school

children; old men parked the car there where they went well; other teenagers listened to horrible ' music ' in all volume from their 
mobiles on the street...

Finally, one day Danny became hotblooded:  

 
DOUCHEEEES!!! 

He couldn't take it anymore. Something had broken in his head (and on

his DNA, as the incident brought out his latent powers). 

He dressed the ugliest tracksuit he had, weared an ski mask, grabbed a pair of steel bars... and start to punish uncompromising people under the name of Douchebagger (People who prowl the streets keeping Douches in their place).

After the incident occurred in the village with Jack O ' Murder, he joined other young heroes and so were born the Mighty Mates (see also Braindead).
His relation with Braindead is good enough: Danny believes that she is a psychotic, and she believes he is a douche... So everything is fine.

Estelada - Forgotten Heroes 2019

Aquí us porto la segona entrada (i última) per al Forgotten Heroes d'aquest any. Degut a que Comic Life té avui un dia difícil, ho faré a les braves... Espero que us agradi.

Here I bring you the second entry (and the last one) for this year's Forgotten Heroes. Because of Comic Life  has a tough day today, I do it old school style... I hope you like it.

 

Elisenda Ferré era una noia normal; bé, més aviat una noia tímida i sense gaires amics...

Anava a un institut públic, on la majoria dels seus companys eren desagradables amb ella i d'altres nois només perque podien. Eren víctimes del que ara es coneix com a bulling.

Un dels principals problemes entre aquesta gent era la seva procendència. Així com Elisenda i molts dels seus companys eren de famílies catalanes, els seus acosadors eren fills d'inmigrants españols, arribats aquí durant la posguerra. I, tot i que ells no havien viscut res d'aixó, la educació que se'ls hi donava a casa era d'enfrontament i odi cap als altres.

Elisenda Ferré was a normal girl; Well, rather a shy girl and without many friends... She went to a public institute, where most of his colleagues were unpleasant with her and other guys just because they could. They were victims of what is now known as bullling. 

One of the main problems between these people was their procendence. As well as Elisenda and many of her colleagues were from Catalan families, their bullies were children of Spanish immigrants, arrived here during the Civil War. And, even though they had not experienced that war, the education they had at home was of confrontation and hate towards others.

Tot va canviar quan, en una excursió escolar, van anar a visitar el monestir de Montserrat, situat a la serralada del mateix nom, font de llegendes i misteris com desaparicions o visites de Himmler, segon de Hitler durant la 2ª Guerra Mundial...

Everything changed when, on a school trip, they visited the monastery of Montserrat, located in the mountain range of the same name, a source of legends and mysteries as disappearances or visits by Himmler, Hitler's second during the World War 2...

Durant la visita, ella va notar que algú la observaba... es tractava d'un dels monjos que passejaven pel monestir. Al principi va pensar que tot era cosa de la seva imaginació. Però aleshores va notar que, de fet, la estava seguint...

Molt espantada, va intentar explicar-li a algú però, com ja hem dit, els seus companys no eren gaire amables amb ella.

Com que anava més atenta al monjo que a la resta del seu grup, al cap d'una estona veié que havia perdut el grup i, pitjor encara, havia quedat atrapada en un llarg passadís amb el monjo, que la vigilava en posició amenaçant des de l'altra punta... En una desició impulsiva, degut al terror que sentia, va saltar des de la finestra més propera cap a l'exterior; per sort, era un primer pis i només va fer-se un cop al meluc i es va torçar un tormell.

Els seus problemes només van empitjorar, ja que de la porta més propera, va sortir el mateix monjo, encara perseguint-la. Ella va marxar, coixejant, muntanya amunt; la única escapatória possible.

Espantadíssima, ferida i sense res més que una mica d'aigua que portava a la motxilla, va anar endintsant-se més a la muntanya, fins que, esgotada i veient que s'estava fent fosc, va ficar-se en una cova a descansar... i es va quedar dormida.

During the visit, she noticed someone watching her... It was one of the monks who walked around the monastery. At first she thought that everything was about his imagination. But then she noticed that, in fact, he was following her... Very scared, she tried to tell someone but, as we have already said, his companions were not very kind to her.
As she was more attentive to the monk than the rest of her group, after a while she saw that she had lost the group and, even worse, had been trapped in a long corridor with the monk, who watched her in a threatening position from the other side... In a impulsive desicion, due to the terror he felt, she jumped from the closest window to the outside; Luckily, it was a first floor and she only hit her hip and sprained her ankle.
His problems only worsened, since by the closest door came out the same monk, still pursuing her. She left, limping, mountain up; The only possible escape.

Fearful, wound and without anything more than some water in her backpack, went deeper into the mountain, until, exhausted and seeing that it was getting dark, got into a cave to rest... And he fell asleep.

Una forta llum la va despertar i ella, pensant que el monjo l'havia trobat, va començar a plorar i a suplicar per la seva vida... però una cálida veu femenina la va calmar:

      "Elisenda, no tinguis por... perque has estat escollida. A partir d'ara serás la protectora de la teva terra, Catalunya, envers els perills que vindran. Sigues forta, que jo t'ajudaré."

I amb aquestes paraules, va desaparéixer. Al lloc d'on havia sortit la veu només hi havia un penjoll en forma d'estrella. En agafar-lo, una energia com mai havia sentit la va rodejar i va néixer...

ESTELADA!

A strong light awakened and she, thinking that the monk had found her, start to cry and begged for his life... But a warm feminine voice calmed her down:

 "Elisenda, do not be afraid... Because you have been chosen. From now on you will be the protector of your land, Catalonia, towards the dangers that will come. Be strong, I'll help.  "

And with these words, she disappeared. In the place where the voice had left there was only one necklace in a star-shaped way. When she took it, an energy as she had never felt surrounded her and so was born...

Max Power

Maximillian Honkley era un simple bibliotecari d'un petit poble. La seva vida anodina va fer un tomb quan una tarda, ja tancant, i mentre ordenava els llibres que la gent deixava sobre les taules va veure'n un que no recordava tenir... 'I remember Lemuria' de Richard Sharpe Shaver.

Intrigat, va començar a llegir-lo i li va semblar estranyament familiar... Investigant sobre el tema, va trobar una entrada a la xarxa de tunels subterranis que es mencionen a la novela.

Sense cap experiéncia com a explorador, després de varies hores voltant pe allà, va adonar-se'n que estava perdut. Per afegir terror a la situació, va creure veure una forma humanoide d'ulls brillants que l'observaba. Espantadíssim, va començar a corre despavorit per tunnels i tunnels fins que sense adonar-se'n va trobar un forat al mig del pas. Al caure, va colpejar-se el cap i va quedar inconscient mentre rodolava... cada cop més avall.

En despertar, estava rodejat de uns estranys éssers, una espècie de formigues antropomòrfiques. Al principi, es va espantar molt, pero de seguida va veure que de fet, els éssers li havien curat les ferides i estaven cuidant-lo.
Gràcies a la seva afició per les llengües, va anar pop a poc entenent als éssers: parlaven un dialecte similar al de certes tribus indies que havien viscut per la zona. Després d'un temps recuperant-se, havia fet una bona relació amb ells i havia après un munt de coses. Eren els Anu Sinom, o Gent Formiga, provenien d'Orió i havien viscut en aquests tunnels durant segles, ajudant als humans i enfrontant-se constantment amb els Deros, els malignes éssers réptils d'ulls brillants que en Maximillian havia vist abans de caure.

Un dia, quan ja va estar totalment recuperat i anava a marxar, els Anu li van oferir una éspecie de vestit. Van dir-li que aixó l'ajudaria a combatre els Deros, ja que havia estat triat per impedir que aquests s'extenguessin per la Terra. Va pensar que no havia entés gaire bé el que li deien i va marxar a casa... però uns dies desprès, en tornar a veure el vestit va decidir emprovar-se'l i, en fer-ho, el vestit va ajustar-se al seu cos i una estranya energia va rodejar-lo...

Certament, encara no te ni idea de com fer-lo servir, però si que ha vist que el vestit li dona uns poders que potser el converteixen en... l'ésser més poderós de la Terra.


Bé, una entrada prou llarga avui. Clarament basada en 'El Gran Héroe Americano en la seva aparença i en un gran filósof en el seu nom. A baix deixo unes cançons que amenitzen el tema.

Maximillian Honkley was a mere librarian of a small town. His anodised life made a turn when one afternoon, already closing, and while ordering the books that people left on the tables saw one that he did not remember having... ' I remember Lemuria ' by Richard Sharpe Shaver.

Intrigued, he began to read it and seemed strangely familiar... Researching on the subject, found an entrance to the underground tunnels that were mentioned in the novel.

Without any experience as an explorer, after several hours around there, he realized that he was lost. To add terror to the situation, he thought to see a humanoid form with bright eyes that observed him. Terrified, he start to run by tunnels and tunnels until inadvertently found a hole in the middle of the passage. When he fell, he struck his head and was unconscious while he was tumbling... Down and down.

On awakening, it was surrounded by strange beings, a kind of anthropomorphic ants. At first he was very scared, but immediately saw that the people had healed his wounds and were taking care of him.

Thanks to his fondness for languages, he gradually understood beings: they spoke a dialect similar to certain Indian tribes who had lived around the area. After a while recovering, he had done a good relationship with them and had learnt a lot of things. They were the Anu Sinom, or Ant People, they came from Orion and had lived in these tunnels for centuries, helping humans and facing steadily with the Deros, the evil sighted beings of bright eyes that Maximillian had seen before falling.

One day, when he was fully recovered and was to leave, the Anu offered him an oddly dress. They said that this would help him to combat the Deros, since he had been chosen to prevent them from extending to the Earth. He thought he had not really understand what they told him and he went home... But a few days later, on returning to see the dress decided to try it and, in doing so, the dress adjusted to her body and a strange energy surrounded it...

Certainly, he still have no idea how to use it, but he has seen that the dress gives some powers that maybe make him... The most powerful being on Earth.


Ok, long thread today. Trully based on 'Greatest American Hero' in his appearance and on a great philosopher in his name... So, here i left some great songs about this:

Braindead

En Tom i la Jane eren una parella feliç. Amb una forta ideologia hippie, compartien molts interessos (eren vegans, tenien un petit hort, els hi agradava molt Grease i posar floretes als canons de les pistoles de la policía...).

La seva felicitat va ser encara més gran quan van saber que la Jane estava embarassada, però tot es va truncar quan va néixer la Lucy: ERA VERDA!!
Sense saber-ho, havien construït la seva casa sobre un antic cementiri nuclear de la Guerra Freda: Ara entenien perquè els seus carbassons eren tan grans...

I aixó no era el pitjor: Quan la nena s'enfadava, coses a l'atzar es movien. Al principi només eren estris que queien, però quan la figura de tamany real de  "Frenchy" Facciano va volcar i explotar en mil trossos, van començar a sospitar alguna cosa... Sense experiéncia en temes de mutacions, no van relacionar els fets amb la nena, sino que van pensar que tenien un fantasma a casa. Després d'una neteja espiritual, van trucar un exorcista, pensant que era la nena, la que estava posseïda... La Lucy, en veure's atacada va fregir el cervell de l'exorcista deixant-lo en estat catatónic!

Poc a poc van aprendre a conviure amb els poders de la Lucy (que eren cada vegada més grans) i a acceptar que era una mutant.
Uns anys després, la Lucy va unir-se a varis joves herois per defensar el seu poble de Jack O'Murder i els seus espantaocells (realment, es un petit poblet molt afectat per la radiació...), formant  els Mighty Mates.
I, quant als seus pares, han deixat la vida hippie i han trobat la manera de treure profit de tot el que ha passat: En Tom és el manager i R.R.P.P. dels MM i la Jane a assolit un gran éxit amb el seu canal de Youtube "I love Lucy... although she is a little green-brainburner-bastard"

Tom and Jane were a happy couple. With a strong hippie ideology, they shared many interests (they were vegans, they had a small vegetable garden, they liked "Grease" a lot and they liked to put flowers in the police guns cannons...).

His happiness was even greater when they realise that Jane was pregnant, but everything was cut short when Lucy was born: SHE WAS GREEN!!

Unknowingly, they had built their house over a former nuclear cemetery of the Cold War: they now understood because their zucchini were so great...

And that was not the worst: when the girl got angry, things randomly moved. At first there were only widgets that fell, but when the natural size figure of  "Frenchy" Facciano tumbled and exploded in a thousand pieces, they began to suspect something... No experienced in themes of mutations, did not relate the facts with the girl, but they thought they had a ghost at home. After a spiritual cleansing, they called an exorcist, thinking it was the girl, the one that was possessed... Lucy, when she was attacked, fried The Exorcist's brain, leaving him in a catatonic state!

Slowly, they learned to live with the powers of Lucy (who were increasingly more and more) and to accept that it was a mutant.

A few years later, Lucy joined several young heroes to defend her village from Jack O'Murder and her scarecrows (actually, it is a small village heavily affected by radiation...), forming the Mighty Mates.

And, in terms of their parents, they have left their hippie life and have found a way to benefit from everything that has happened: Tom is the manager and PR of the MM and Jane has had a great success with her Youtube channel  "I Love Lucy... Although she is a little green-brainburner-bastard"
